The Tale of Keegan and the Unintentional Walker

So it's been a busy time lately. Keegan has really come into his own and is a crawling-talking-bumping-giggling little boy. He is almost walking by himself. He can stand for about 5 seconds until he realizes you aren't keeping him upright. Then his little butt hits the floor. I think he is going to just decide he wants to walk one day. For now it has taken the back burner because he is quite the little crawler. If we put him down and walk into the next room he will come find us. If we sit down to play with him on the floor he will eventually decide to venture off into the wilds of the dining area and kitchen. In the kitchen his two favorite things are the animal water dish and the gate to keep him out of the laundry room. He sees the cats walk right through the gate and wonders why he cannot perform this feat. In the living room he loves his table which plays music and sounds as well as all kinds of lights. He ends up leaning on the table which causes it move. He has decided that he can just walk right behind it and move it around the room (see video). Eventually it will end up pinned against something and he will just play with it there until he gets bored or hungry or tired. He loves to play on the floor with just about anything and will throw this anything pretty well.

We had his checkup and he is doing just fine. He is big (23+ pounds) and about average height (27+ inches). He still seems like he is growing constantly and clothes that fit him a week earlier are tight when trying to dress him. He has managed to stay pretty healthy, though he has a cough that comes and goes. He is eating "people food" now and seems to prefer it to the pastes he has been eating. When grabbing food off the tray and feeding himself he prefers to have a piece in each hand before eating. We expect our little man to be walking soon (though I'm okay if he waits a little bit) and his sounds are getting more and more varied. A little under two months until he turns a year...
