A little behind

So the posts haven't been quite as often as I like this past week, but I'll make up for it with some really cute pictures and a video that Suzanne took this past week. We're all still doing well and Keegan is growing while Mommy and Daddy try to not grow.

The many faces of Keegan

Grandma holding Keegan at almost 7 weeks

For the first time today he pulled a growth spurt right before my very eyes. When I came home from work today he seemed so much longer and he is exactly as long as his 0-3 month sleepers allow. Hopefully he holds off growing much more so we can get a couple more weeks out of them. He seems to eat more every day so there is no wonder in why he is growing.

Oh and there is a Keegan day counter on the left I added a few days ago.

Chugging along!

And that's not just a figure of speech. This past saturday Keegan got to spend the evening with Grandma and Grandpa Shary so that mommy and daddy could go out for a date! While we were out to dinner and a movie, Keegan decided he was really hungry. He ate his normal 4 ounces, but was still fussy, so Grandma and Grandpa decided he must still be hungry. And boy was he! He got down another 4 ounces for a total of 8 ounces. I didn't even know his stomach could expand enough for that. He is still typically in the 3-4 range but every once in a while he will eat an extra ounce or 2. We think he's getting ready for a growth spurt. We are also keeping our fingers crossed for that elusive full night's sleep.

On Sunday, we went for a nature walk with Aunt Krista at the Cincinnati Nature Center. It was the perfect day and I think this weekend was the first time that most everything was green. Keegan got to walk around in his baby carrier with mom while Krista walked Melita and I walked Aurora. Keegan did really well though he wasn't happy until he got his hands up by his face in his little boxer guard position that he fancies. Keegan really slept through just about the whole thing, but wanted to eat before we left so Suzanne and I sat in the parking lot in the shade and fed him while Aurora dozed.

Stopping to smell the... ferns

The meeting of Aurora and Melita went just fine (See pictures) and had we let them loose they might have played. We were a little concerned because they both think Keegan is theirs. I guess they have just smelled each other enough on the rest of us that it just wasn't a big deal.

Back to the wedding pictures site with the rest of the family (Cats not pictured)

Lately Keegan has had a bit of an erratic sleep schedule and we think he may have had a little ear infection, but the last few days have been back to where he was. He'll get a good 3 hours of sleep before wanting to eat again. I keep hoping he is going to sleep through the night, but I'm sure he is going to catch me off guard and do it when I least expect it.

Sundries

I added a slideshow to the right side. Let me know if it shows up okay. Also, added a couple links to some new photo albums with previously unreleased photos of the little guy.

Cinco! Fuenf! Cinq! Five!

Taking it all in

Well, yesterday Keegan turned 5 weeks old. Only 5 weeks? Really? It's true, but it seems so hard to believe. Over these past 5 weeks we have found our way into a decent routine. It's still a bit hard going to work and I find myself just wanting to be home with Keegan and Suzanne, but we're getting by. I think Mommy wishes I could be home sometimes as well since it's mostly a one way conversation, but Keegan does pretty well in the car and stroller (as long as you keep it moving, that is) so she can make some little trips out to the store or a nice walk around town.

I found the camera, but I'm still working on the smile

This past week was an eventful week for us. Tuesday Keegan had his one month checkup and passed with flying colors! He weighed in at 10 lbs 8 oz, well on his way to 11 lbs. He is eating like a champ and has even gotten down almost 6 oz in one sitting! They measured him at 21.25 inches, though he was squirming and I think the nurse was in a bit of a hurry. I measured him at almost 22 inches the week before so I'm not convinced he's only grown .25 inches. He also had his second Hepatitis B shot. He definitely didn't like it but did very well considering.

Hiya!

This weekend we are going to try to take it easy, maybe get a couple things done around the house.

I'll leave you with a video taken this morning; he is pretty awake but gives a little yawn...
